Wind and Waves

The Eastport 32 pushes waves aside in Key West Florida, in front of the Crown Prince of Denmark's sailing yacht, the yachts eventualy did not race as the wind was too strong at over 30knots and the waves too big!

Eastport 32 in Florida

The Eastport 32 is now in Riviera Beach City Marina just north of Palm Beach in Florida - after a tour of the keys where we experienced a variety of weather conditions including 8ft Gulf stream waves off Palm Beach and 30+knots of wind in Key West, the boat handles excelently both up wind and down sea.

On the trip up the Keys with owners Dick and Barbara Neville we cruised at 25 knots from Key West to Miami and used a remarkable 70 Gallons of fuel...just over 11 gallons per hour for the 160 mile trip.
